Hero Section
Designing the hero section is always my favorite part of any landing page project. It’s the critical first fold of the website that forms the viewer's initial impression and determines whether they will continue to explore further. A study by Neilsen Norman Group states that "57% of their page-viewing time above the fold. 74% of the viewing time was spent in the first two screenfuls".
For the Futureverse event website, I employed a variety of AI tools and design techniques, and even ventured into animation, to craft an engaging and compelling hero section. This video showcases all the iterations I went through to achieve the final design.
Typography & Colour Scheme
Speaker Cards
For the "Who's Speaking" section, I designed speaker cards that showcased an image of the speaker, their name, designation, and social media reach. Each card was crafted to resemble a real-life stage, emphasizing the prominence and credibility of the speakers, thereby enhancing attendee interest and engagement.
Event Pricing Plans
The primary goal of this section was to sell the maximum number of Platinum Plans – the highest paid one in order to maximise the profits. Highlighting key benefit "1st Row Access" and making the card stand out helped me achieve the same.
CTA as a Section
When the user has scrolled ~90% of the page, it's a perfect time to remind them to achieve the main goal of the website. So, to create some visual interest, contrary to the ordinary I designed this a button as a section with an eye-catching hover interaction. Also, in order to create urgency, I revealed a secondary information of "Early Bird Pricing" which made the deal altogether more sweeter for the end user.
Logo Concepts
I crafted three unique logo concepts to reflect its identity and purpose. The first concept emphasizes community and collaboration, depicting people gathering and meeting, symbolizing the event's role in uniting YouTube creators and enthusiasts. The second concept creatively integrates the letters "F" and "V," representing the name Futureverse and conveying the fusion of innovation and creativity. The third concept incorporates AI-inspired elements into the logomark, reflecting the event's focus on sharing AI-driven workflow secrets by the speakers. This design highlights the advanced technology and forward-thinking nature of the content, aligning with the event's theme of leveraging AI for optimizing their creation workflows. Each concept was crafted to ensure a strong and memorable brand identity for Futureverse.
Using metallic 3D Tribal Assets
In order to give a unique style that people would remember, I decided to use these metallic 3D Tribal shapes throughout the branding assets starting with the website. This discarded iteration later on lead to a side quest that I built – Project Kaleido.
Storytelling using text reveal animation
Nobody likes to read huge paragraphs of texts. But there could be a creative way to show it – using a text reveal on scroll animation, I tried explaining the concept of this event in form of a story. Inspired from real life storytelling approach which contains story beats, crisis, climax and resolution – I designed this section for the viewer to take the driver's seat and feel the story.
